More than 30 lawyers from the disbanded Thelen firm have joined commercial land use and real estate firm Robinson & Cole in the firm's New York and Hartford, Conn., offices.

The nine partners and more than 20 lawyers from Thelen adds to Robinson & Cole's intellectual property practice, as well as the real estate and construction groups.

Among those making the move was banking and financial services specialist Norman H. Roos, Thelen managing partner in Hartford.

Some of the added staff includes lawyers with expertise in labor and employment, litigation, finance and IP practices.

"The addition of these accomplished attorney s to Robinson & Cole speaks to our strength as a regional firm and will add considerable value to expansion of our New York city office, expansion of our intellectual property practice, and the addition of a prominent construction practice, all goals of the firm's strategic plan," said Eric D. Daniels, managing partner of Robinson & Cole.

In the jump to Robinson & Cole as partners are: Garry C. Berman, real estate; Dennis C. Cavanaugh, construction and surety; Gregory R. Faulkner, construction; Mitchell L. Fishberg, labor and employment; Richard L. Green, technology and IP; Andrew L. Kramer, real estate; Martin A. Oronato, construction, George C. Springer Jr., commercial litigation, and Roos.

Robinson & Cole, founded in 1845, has 250 lawyers in eight regional offices.
