Winston & Strawn has picked up partner James P. Baker from Jones Day, where he co-chaired the employee benefits and executive compensation practice. Baker joined the labor and employment relations department in Winston's San Francisco office last week. He says additional Jones Day lawyers are likely to make the move, but declined to give names. In addition to reconnecting with lawyers with whom he has worked in the past, Baker said it was Winston's use of technology to track cases and do research that drew him to the firm.
