Clifford Chance has added a maritime finance partner to its Hong Kong office.
Alastair MacAulay was previously a partner and head of the finance practice at Mayer Brown JSM. He focuses on asset and project finance in the shipping sector and has particular expertise on deals for the transportation of liquefied natural gas. He has represented ship owners in the acquisition, chartering and finance of more than 30 LNG vessels.
A partner at the former Johnson Stokes & Master since 1989, MacAulay joined Mayer Brown through that firm's merger with Hong Kong-based Johnson Stokes in 2008.
Clifford Chance employs 2,500 lawyers across 35 offices worldwide. There are about 165 lawyers, including 30 partners, working in the firm's Hong Kong office.
