I'm a third-year associate, but law practice is not for me. Networking for law-related alternatives has been going well. I plan to quit by year's end, even if I don't find something else by then. What do you think?

I am a midlevel associate at a large law firm that has announced it will be starting an upward review program. I am concerned about how this type of program works and whether there is any downside to participating.
