The uncertainty of the "fiscal cliff" negotiations in Washington has resulted in a recent flood of activity for attorneys as their clients try to plan for the future. Miller & Chevalier tax member Marc Gerson pointed to a "perfect storm" consisting of the fiscal cliff, expiring Bush-era tax cuts, an increase in Medicare taxes and a new investment tax.
