Connecticut's Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Court is seeking to significantly increase the number of lawyers who practice before it -- by eliminating a mandatory bar exam. The exam was intended to ensure that lawyers knew the differences between the law in state and tribal court, but its increasing difficulty had resulted in fewer people passing it or even sitting for it.
